Rail Freight Transportation
We move cargo by rail into Uzbekistan: container shipments, boxcars, open wagons and flatcars. Rail wins on volume and long distances.
Why rail
On long routes — from China, Russia, Europe — rail is cheaper than road at comparable transit times, and for heavy or bulky cargo the price gap becomes decisive.
Rail is not affected by queues at road border crossings or by weather restrictions on highways.
Shipment types
Containers (20', 40', 40'HC) — the universal option for most cargo, including groupage.
Boxcars — for goods that need weather protection but not a container.
Open wagons and flatcars — for bulk cargo, steel, machinery and oversized loads.
Terminal handling and the last mile
Rail delivers to a station, not to your warehouse. We close that gap: receive the cargo at the terminal, unload, store if needed, and truck it to your door.
What the service includes
Shipment planning, wagon or container placement, rail waybill, customs clearance, terminal handling, delivery from station to warehouse.
What drives the price of rail freight
Rolling stock type: container, boxcar, open wagon or flatcar. The cargo dictates the choice, not the price — bulk will not travel in a container, and fragile goods will not travel in an open wagon.
Batch volume. Rail starts beating road precisely on volume: the more cargo, the wider the gap in cost per tonne.
Terminal handling and storage. If cargo is not collected from the station on time, demurrage starts accruing — we keep that under control.
Documents for rail freight
Invoice, packing list, contract. The rail waybill is issued by us.
Container shipments additionally require container and seal data. Bulk cargo requires a specification and, where applicable, conformity certificates.
How we work
You describe the cargo and the route — we ask clarifying questions. The more precise the inputs (weight, dimensions, cargo type, document readiness), the closer the quote is to the final figure.
We calculate cost and transit time and propose a delivery scheme. If another mode is better for your cargo, we say so plainly — even when it lowers our invoice.
Once agreed, we sign the contract, collect the cargo from the supplier and run it to your warehouse. At every stage you know where the cargo is and what is happening to it.
Frequently asked questions
Is rail cheaper than road?
On long routes and large volumes, yes. On short legs road usually wins because there is no transshipment.
Will you deliver from the station to my warehouse?
Yes. Terminal handling and final road delivery are part of the service.
