Why customs is the biggest risk in the chain

Cargo can arrive on time and then sit at customs for weeks. The causes are almost always the same: wrong HS code, document mismatch, missing certificate, valuation error.

Every day of delay means storage, demurrage and broken commitments to your own customers. That is why we start clearance before dispatch, not on arrival.

What we do

Select the HS code and calculate duties in advance, so there is no surprise at the border.

Prepare and check the document set: invoice, packing list, contract, certificates.

File the declaration, attend inspection, handle customs valuation adjustments.

Arrange certification and permits where the goods require them.

Import and export

Import: full cycle from arrival to release for free circulation.

Export: export clearance, zero-rate confirmation, currency control.

We work with IM-40, transit and temporary import regimes.

What the service includes

What customs payments consist of

Customs value — the calculation base. It is not always the invoice price: customs may adjust it, and you should be prepared for that in advance.

Duty — depends on the HS code. The same goods under different codes can differ several-fold in rate, so code selection is not a formality.

VAT and excise, where the goods are excisable.

Clearance fees. We calculate the full amount before dispatch so there is no surprise at the border.

What usually goes wrong

Wrong HS code. The most common and most expensive mistake: additional duties, fines, delay.

Document mismatch. Invoice weight does not match actual weight; the contract description does not match the packing list — the cargo is held until clarified.

Missing certificate. The goods arrive but the permit does not exist — and obtaining it after the fact can take a long time.

All three are solved the same way: preparation before dispatch, not on arrival.

How we work

You describe the cargo and the route — we ask clarifying questions. The more precise the inputs (weight, dimensions, cargo type, document readiness), the closer the quote is to the final figure.

We calculate cost and transit time and propose a delivery scheme. If another mode is better for your cargo, we say so plainly — even when it lowers our invoice.

Once agreed, we sign the contract, collect the cargo from the supplier and run it to your warehouse. At every stage you know where the cargo is and what is happening to it.
